Can You Say Undefeated?!

Another great weekend of Softball....

The 18s and 15s were in play at Adair Park.

Friday evening (of course a late game), we return to the parking lot

for one of "ours" who had locked their keys in the car (with no spare).

I guess you had to be there, but it was quite the scene being

very comical listening to all the directions being given.

As you can see, the car isn't very big and Jeff thought he could fit in the trunk....

NOT!! :)

They got in the car and all was saved and yes, the Trentonettes were the last to leave the park again this night!!!

Anyway, Friday evening was pool play and the girls won both of their games...

Saturday came and again the girls did an great job - winning all their games!!!

Sunday came with more games and some picture time:

We traveled for a picture.....the ride maybe was just a little illegal....

but the scenery was worth it!

The girls last two games had us all on the edge of our seats....0 to 0 for most of the games - clear up til the very last minutes of the game. I think the girls do this on purpose!!!!

Anyway, we made it to the Championship Game - still with no losses. If they would have been beat, we would have played another game.....BUT......

They WON!!!

We've had a busy and productive week and weekend....
I'll start with the 18's Salad Luncheon that was held last week.
This is one of our fund raisers for National's and again, it went over very well.
We again want to thank everyone in our community who support
these young girls!! The generosity just is amazing!!!

Just a few shots of the day:

Friday evening, both the 18s and 14s traveled to Adair for the Father's Day Tourney...
A two day tournament this time around.

I'll start with the 18's.....

They played Friday evening at 8:40 for their first pool game and won :)

Saturday came.
I will begin by telling you were short handed this weekend.....meaning
no pitchers....aahhhhhh!!!

Chanel pitched for us Friday evening and Clair was able to join us
on Saturday - Phew!!!!

Our second pool game - We lost :(

Then came the third pool game against an 18 A Team - one that
we have had trouble beating for some reason. It was decided that
we needed to save Clair and let her rest before we began bracket play.....
so, no Chanel, no Clair, and no Cassandra.....

Guess who.......

Kylie and Lindsey got to share in the fun!!!
And since we were giving Clair a break, decided Lindsey might need
one from catching also :).......

Amber - guess what - you are it.....

What a fun game - the girls were smiling and laughing.....

and guess what???? They won!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

So, the bracket play started and we came to abrupt halt in the tourney.
A good time today and will be back in full-force next weekend ;)

Now, on to the 14's
They also began pool play Friday night - 10:00 p.m.
Boy these make for late nights, but the girls were in tip-top shape and
were ready to play.......winning their first pool game

Saturday came and two more pool games - losing one and winning one....

We got out the bubbles this weekend and had lots of fun.....

The girls began bracket play around 6 ish - first game......WON!!

I would like to remind you that this was a single-elimination tournament...
so, if we won, it was back-to-back games....

The next game was against a team we hadn't been able to beat
before.....................and we WON!!!!

and, then.................Championshp game..............yep, I said Championship
game - I was so very proud of the girls for making it this far. This was their best
weekend of the year - both in hitting and in fielding - they were doing awesome...

The temperatures were very very hot today with raining throughout the day,
so when the rain would quit,,,,,,,,,,,it was that much more humid!!!
This was their fifth game of the day and it was now
close to 10:00 p.m.

They score two runs....
then we scored two runs.....
Then we scored three more runs and were up 5 to 2.

The umpire says: Time has expired, we will finish the inning as needed.

We were guests.....

Now, their turn to bat....

I'm waiting in the dugout with my camera and they score
a run....no big deal.....still 5 to 3.

Another one scored.....
a little more worried - but still we are ahead.

Two more get on base and we have two outs.

So now the tie run is on third and winning run on second.

Everyone is on their feet with fear and excitement - cheering and clapping.

Two strikes and the pitch comes in.......

and..................
